The trademark concentrated-fruit character of Domaine A pinot grapes are on full show here, from the intense ruby-garnet colour onward. The nose offers a pleasing interplay of late-summer raspberries, black cherries and fruit leather, overlaid with baking spices, vanilla and wafts of black tea and cedar. A hint of eucalyptus and a dried-cranberry acidity balance well against the richer fruits on the palate. Finishes long and cohesive.
